Welcome to ClassEx Languages. By accessing or using languages.classex.co.uk you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully before using the platform.
1. About the Platform
ClassEx Languages is an online marketplace that connects language learners (students) with language teachers (instructors). We provide the platform, payment processing and technical infrastructure. We are not the seller of courses — individual instructors are responsible for their course content.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use ClassEx Languages. By creating an account you confirm that you are 13 or older. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the platform and make purchases.
3. Student Terms
- You may enrol in courses for your own personal, non-commercial learning only.
- You may not share, resell or redistribute course content.
- Course access is granted to your account only and may not be transferred.
- You may not record, download or reproduce course videos without explicit permission from the instructor.
4. Instructor Terms
- You must apply to become an instructor and receive approval from ClassEx Languages before publishing courses.
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy, quality and legality of your course content.
- You grant ClassEx Languages a non-exclusive licence to display, promote and deliver your course content on the platform.
- You will receive 70% of each course sale. ClassEx Languages retains 30% as a platform fee.
- Payouts are processed monthly via Flutterwave to the bank account you provide.
- You must not publish content that is plagiarised, inaccurate, misleading or violates any third-party rights.
- ClassEx Languages reserves the right to remove any course that violates these terms without prior notice.
5. Payments and Refunds
All payments are processed securely by Flutterwave. Course prices are set by instructors in US Dollars.
Refund policy: Refunds may be requested within 7 days of purchase if you have completed less than 20% of the course content. To request a refund, email admin@classex.co.uk with your order number. Refunds are at ClassEx Languages’ discretion and are not guaranteed.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use ClassEx Languages to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Upload or share content that is illegal, harmful, offensive or misleading
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
- Attempt to hack, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the platform
- Create fake accounts or impersonate others
- Spam other users or send unsolicited communications
- Circumvent the platform’s payment system by conducting transactions off-platform
7. Intellectual Property
All ClassEx Languages branding, design and platform code is owned by ClassEx and protected by copyright. Course content is owned by the respective instructors. Students receive a limited, non-transferable licence to access course content for personal learning purposes only.
8. Disclaimers
ClassEx Languages provides the platform as-is. We do not guarantee that course content is accurate, complete or suitable for your specific learning goals. We are not responsible for the quality of individual instructor courses.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClassEx Languages shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting admin@classex.co.uk.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be resolved under UK jurisdiction.
